AcTiOn!

Instead of trying to capture someone in motion, knowing that it would come out looking corny because I have NO time what so ever, and would have to ask someone to quickly run past me while I took pictures of them. So, I thought I would be cool to capture the action of the water. This is the river that runs at the bottom of my road, there is a little path that leads down the steep bank with a huge stone that allows you to stand the middle of the river, without getting wet. I think I found my new study spot.

Portraits!

I love this picture! This is my nephew Brayden... My troubles with taking portraits of him, and I assume all young children is getting them to stay still long enough to take a picture. I finally gave up and just let him run around, and I got this shot. Taking portraits is becomes very rewarding when you achieve a good photo, but I imagine very frustrating when you can't.

Clone Stamp and Patch Tools

The photo above is my original photo. I had a hard time with these tools. I had a different photo that I really wanted to use. I thought that I was going to be able clone just the object and not the background. Anyway, I used the clone stamp, with the brush size at the highest setting and cloned the entire toy so it looks like there are two (below).

Added TEXT using Photoshop

I took this photo on friday afternoon on my way to work, it is the river that flows through East Burke. (I don't know the name of it).

When I viewed Chris Jordan's website, the picture that stood out to me was the one above. The photo is made up of aluminum soda cans. I think it stood out so much because I never think about the enormous amount of aluminum cans that are being used each day. His other photos are of object that I know are used in huge amounts. I added the name of the photo and his website. This tool is very easy to use in CS4.

FILTER

Thus far this is def. my favorite tool in photoshop! I have seen photos like this but never knew how people do it, now I get to do it myself! I used the poster edges filter for Connor in the Pool. The top photo of the race car I used the crosshatch filter.

DoDgE and BuRn

Wow! It seem like it took me forever to use the dogde and burn tool. I find that this tool is very unforgiving! The top picture is the picture that I "fixed" I lightened the side of his face and darkened the background. I found it hard because I could see the lines where I lightened.
